LyricalNocturne publishes the lyrics of 2,599 Indian songs in 8 languages —Hindi (852), Tamil (525), Kannada (414), Telugu (405), Malayalam (321), English (39), Devotional (28), Punjabi (10), from 1995 to 2017.

How the collection is organised

Every song is listed with the details we have for it: the movie or album it appears in, the release year, its singers, lyricist and music director, the cast, and the music label. Those credits connect songs to 644 movie and album pages and to artist pages for 1,116 singers, lyricists and composers with more than one song here.

Lyrics are shown in Latin script (transliteration), as most listeners search for them that way. Where a credit is missing from a song, it is left blank rather than guessed.

Keeping lyrics accurate

Each lyrics page has a discussion where signed-in members can point out mistakes or discuss a song's meaning.

Song lyrics remain the property of their writers, composers and music labels. They are reproduced here for personal and educational use. Rights holders who want a song removed or credited differently can raise it on that song's discussion.
